Flange Bolt is a non-serrated and sometimes called as frame bolts. It is a fastener that features a skirt extending outwards from the head in a 360 degrees angle. While its ridge or skirt surrounding their heads makes them easily identifiable, it is necessary to mention that the design serves a greater purpose in order to ensure the even distribution of force across a greater surface. It features a broad surface area beneath the head to provide a smooth distribution of securing pressure. It has a circular flange under the head that acts like a washer to distribute the load. It is used in automotive applications, plumbing, and more. Stainless Steel Flange Bolts are capable of providing the same bonding power as a washer, although in some applications they can be employed along with regular bolts paired with washers. Flange Head Screws are available as either serrated or non-serrated hexagons. It is a strong one piece fastener which is designed to spread the clamping load without the need for a washer. Though the non-serrated flange screw is robust enough for most purposes, it is an ideal choice for heavier industrial applications. It is self-locking which provides a large amount of vibration resistance. Because no washer is required, is secured much more quickly and efficiently than many other screws.  Hex Flange Bolt is a regular hex head bolts with built-in washer and externally threaded body. It comes with plain or serrated flange configuration and is commonly used in automotive industry, especially in truck and heavy vehicular frames. Flange Head Bolt is usually used in vehicle frames, especially in trucks and anywhere a head bolt is required. They feature a nozzle, thereby it speeding assembles while eliminating the washer. They provide four times the bearing area than of the standard hex screw.
